SHORT TERM MISSIONS

The El Puente Mission Base and the GCEC feel blessed to host short term mission trips ranging from individuals to large teams. While serving with us, mission groups have helped with construction, run Vacation Bible Schools and specialty camps, put on sports outreach activities, met and prayed with the people of Granada and Pantanal, and have tackled various work projects that would otherwise be unfinished. Individuals and teams have also blessed the community with music camps, health and nutrition workshops, parent training, teacher training, youth conferences, men's and women's conferences, marriage conferences, leadership training, and so much more. Team members range from high school students, to families, to adults, and stay in simple dormitories on the El Puente Mission Base with 24-hour security located in the heart of the historic city of Granada. We welcome groups of up to 30 people in our dorms, separated by gender.

VISION TRIPS

If you are a church, school, or other organization interested in partnering long term with the GCEC but uncertain, we highly recommend that you take a vision trip to learn more about our ministry. Vision trips are usually 3-5 days and include 2-5 people (typically church leadership or missions committee members). This is a time for you to become familiar with the ministry on the ground, get to know the country, learn more about the Nicaraguan culture, and pray for God's direction. Your church or organization can see our missionary work in action and decide if a partnership with our school and ministry is a viable option and fits your church's vision for international missions partnerships.

Below is a video a short-term team filmed during their trip with us. This is a small sampling of some activities you may do when you plan a trip with us. Our goal is to integrate you into our day-to-day ministry so you can help us enhance what we are already doing.

Filmed and edited by Parker Clayton of First Baptist New Albany    December 2017-January 2018

The music team from Trinity Presbyterian Church of Charlottesville taught the GCEC students the importance of music during their short-term mission trip with us the summer of 2019.

Let God use the special skills and talents within your team to bless our school, students, and staff in meaningful ways.
